Choose the best CAREER for YOU

There is a famous quote ,”Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in it, and it will come naturally.” 3 Idiots movie ne bhi humein yahi sikhaya hai ki ,”Kabiliyat ke piche bagho,Kaabiyaabi to jakh mar ke piche aati hai

Let me begin this blog by sharing a small piece of story.

Ek kingdom  mein there was an army recruitment camp going on to select new soldiers. The rules where simple .You will be given many weapons to choose from and you will have to combat a group of people. The guy holding the group for maximum number of time or getting through it, would qualify.
A small farmer kid was used  playing with bamboo and had a natural inclination toward combat skills using it. He was pretty good at that . Kuch der baad, all the freshers were lined and a choice of weapons were laid . There were deadly looking talvar, bhala, chakuu and some cheap looking bamboo sticks too. Everyone went for the deadly weapons. Almost none went for bamboo. Then came the turn of this farmer boy. Seeing other kids , he also lifted the talvar still  knowing that he was not so good at it. But since all of others are doing it, he followed them blindly and left bamboo with which he was a little good at.

The combat began. Talvar kuch jyada hi bhari tha. Many perished soon. The farmer boy, failed miserably. In no time, he too was knocked out like many others. Had he chosen the weapon he was comfortable with and had natural talent in using it ,he would have had a little more chance  making it through than now when he blindly followed others.

If you think a bit, isn’t a similar thing is happening with our Indian kids while choosing their careers. Many are naturally skilled in using the bamboo but their parents make them go for the shiny swords. Till the time they learn using the sword, many of them are knocked out.
The bottom line is, it doesn’t matter which weapon you choose, unless you are good at it. For sure, you will have to fight a crowd wherever you are, but fighting them with a choice of your weapon will be more effective and interesting than fighting with something you are not.
This blog presents the Indian students with most of the options available to them after 10th, 12th, graduation and post-graduation in science, arts, commerce. I hope this will help many shape their future in the right direction. Chose a career which aligns with your qualities and happiness and success will follow.
